7th Annual R/C Pro Series at CRC Raceway in Rome, NY

Hey guys, we’ve got a month left until the RC Pro Series at CRC this year. I figured I would help drum up some excitement. Below is some info CRC posted over on RCTech (read more there, or join in the conversation). Team Soup will be there.. will you?!

US R/C Pro Series at CRC Raceway in Rome, NY – June 8 – 10, 2012

We are expecting another classic battle with some of the finest offroad drivers on the east coast descending upon the newly configured offroad track.

Again this year, top offroad driver Billy Fischer from Arizona will bring his factory TLR Losi to central NY to take on the usual cast of characters from the northeast. In addition to Fischer, we typically see east coast top driver such as Losi’s Anthony Mazzara, Mark Christman, Associated’s Jamie Grayek, X-ray driver Mark Smyka, Mark Calandra, Jimmy James, Matt McCreadie and Mike Wilder, just killer competition. Defending Buggy Champion Tom Firsching and his Losi will also be attending.

In addition to the Connecticut and Massachusetts drivers, bring on the very fast western NY Glenwood drivers of Dan Black, Cory Pullman, Justin “J-Dub” Williams, Brian Bellinger and Rapid Rick Redmin. From the great white north, we expect to see Canadian “wheel” Ben Wheeler, Jay Cristiano, George Stiliadis, Daniel Yachnin, Abiye Birku and Tillsonburg T.Q. XRay driver from Quebec, Jerome Treignier. Also, one of the quickest offroad racers in the northeast, Jason Schreffler has committed to attend.

For the past 3 years, this yearly event has drawn over 200 entries. With CRC Raceway centered around all this talent, this event has turned into an east coast “national” event, a clinic in offroad racing.

Remember, while the R/C Pro Series at CRC Raceway will feature some highly experienced racers, the Pro Series has a class for every skill and vehicle, so come and enjoy the event. We have classes for 1/8th Buggy, Truggy, E-buggy, 1:10th 2wd + 4wd Short Course and Stadium.

At CRC Raceway, we have the following amenities; stocked hobby shop, free camping, fresh drinking water, 5600 watts of lighting, dual track water system, AC power, air compressor, on-site food, FM transmitter, 13 speaker, 200 watt P.A. system and a dedicated race management team. Last year we increased the size of the drivers stand easily accommodating 17 racers and a new “sky box” has been built for the race management team. Also, the track has been expanded and we have free WiFi in the pits, 3 different Wireless Access points for full pit coverage, all the comforts a racer could ask for. The CRC cook crew will again have some great home-made food to make your racing effort more convenient. Come join us for some great racing, awesome food and good times.
