Top Gun at the Pro Series @ CRC was Billy Fischer. Billy drives for TLR, and he shut out the competition taking both Pro Truggy and Pro Buggy A-Main Victories. Billy has actually attended a number of  CRC big events, having been here  for the last few Pro Series races. He gave us a few minutes of his time to answer some questions.

Have your been to CRC Raceway before? Yes, this is Billy’s 5th trip to CRC (4th Pro Series)

How do you like this year’s layout? It’s good. It’s not real high speed, pretty technical.

How did he get involved in RC Racing?  A family member raced dirt oval and he checked it out. Got into dirt oval for 3 years before getting into Off-Road.

Do you prefer Electric or Nitro? Nitro, only because he’s been more successful with it. Billy prefers longer mains to 5 minute all or nothing races. He likes time to find a rhythm and pace himself.

Any tips for new RC racers? Don’t try to get sponsored so quickly. Have fun, and practice. Sponsorships come with time and results.

What is your favorite racing class? 1/8 Nitro Buggy

Do you do any R/C besides Off-Road Racing? Dirt oval racing at the US Open Wheel Dirt Oval Championships
