How’d you get started with racing?

My grandparents got me a little Tyco RC car, I was like 5. We had two big oak trees in the yard. I could drive it around the oak trees pretty good, so we went to a hobby shop. My dad got involved, and we all started racing.  That was a long time ago.

Being from the Tampa area, do you race at Lake Park much?

Yea I used to, thats my home track. Not alot of electric racing there now, they run mostly gas now. To race electric we pretty much go all over the state. Space Coast, Orlando, here, so pretty much every other weekend we’re either at one of those three or we’re on the road somewhere else.

What’s your favorite class to race?

2wd Mod buggy is my favorite class. Its the most difficult, most prestigious, for you to compete and do well in.

People that we’ve interviewed in the past, that have said 2wd mod is their favorite class, have also said that if you can drive a 2wd mod buggy well, you can pretty much drive anything.

Thats correct, it teaches you a lot of lessons you can take to other classes; patience etc. Its not a slot car, its not going to take itself down the track. You have to learn to hit your marks, you have to put it where it needs to be.

Who are your sponsors?
