Sponsored by TrakPower Speed Equipment, the race is hosted again by Leisure Hours Raceway and Hobbies in Joliet, Illinois. Classes are expected to include:

  • Stock 17.5 “Blinky” Buggy
  • Modified Buggy
  • Modified Truck
  • Modified 4WD Buggy
  • Rookie
  • Stock 17.5 “Blinky” Short Course

In addition, drivers can compete in a short course Team Enduro and run for the money in the popular Dash for Cash. The weekend will also feature one of the largest raffles at any R/C event in the Midwest.

No registered driver leaves empty-handed. At the very least, each takes home a free TrakPower Chi-Town Shootout T-shirt while supplies last. Top qualifiers in each event receive TQ awards. Winners not only earn bragging rights but some VERY big trophies — Leisure Hours has no holds barred when bringing out the “bling”!

The Chi-Town Shootout begins on Friday, February 28, with open practice. Three qualifiers will be held on Saturday, along with the Dash for Cash and Enduro.

Sunday’s schedule features the main events with bump-ups.
