While at Pemberton Raceworks headquarters, we got the opportunity to get some Meet the Pros interviews. First we sat down with PRW President, Steve Pemberton. Let’s see what he had to say!

What’s your most memorable moment in racing? My first Snowbirds win in 2006: 1/12 Oval 19 Turn

How many years have you been racing? In September, it will be 25 years.

How did you get involved in RC Racing?  I came out to Utica for College and met a man named Rick Hall. He got me into it. I met Joel 2 months later and we’ve been best friends ever since. My first car was a Rock Buster (basically a cheap Grass Hopper). We raced what was basically a reverse oval with jumps.. then we moved to carpet oval.

Do you prefer Electric or Nitro? Electric. Me and Nitro are not a good mix.

Any tips for new RC racers? Keep it fun. Racing isn’t life or death, it shouldn’t be taken so seriously. Have fun, and the friends you make, you’ll have for life.

What is your favorite racing class? 1/12 Carpet Oval

What other forms of R/C Racing do you do? Dirt oval, and I dabble in everything else, even getting into a little 1/8 Off-Road Electric.

What is your favorite type of soup? Cream of Mushroom.
