2012 Grand Nationals Pull / Crank It Up Coverage

Is that our Raffle clod in the background??

Here we started lining up some of the Diggers for pull offs.

Some of the class getting ready to pull. I believe Digger was the biggest class running on Sat.

Pull off time!

Next up was 2WD Box Stock class. Again, mostly Lunch Boxes and Midnight Pumpkins. My Montero Wheelie is also based off that same platform. You could easily get into pulling with one of these for around $200 with radio, battery, charger, etc. Just ask if interested.

This Lunchbox was the class winner!

Garden Tractor is up again!

Time to let the big boys loose!

There’s that SCX10 again!

I can’t wait to enter this class next time! Clodbusters in the 4wd Stock class.

We also had some nitros and gas ones but the turnout was limited so they were not run every round.

Overall, it was a fun time as usual. Good food, good people, good pulling… what more can you ask for out of a weekend? Having it outside (despite the chill), was a nice change of pace from the Hanger. It was an added bonus to be able to check out all of the other things going on at the event (planes, tractor show, etc). This was also the first time that I’ve seen a crowd gather to watch a pulling event. It was fun to pull for them and attempt to put on an exciting performance.

In the end, it’s another pull in the books. Again, I’m without full results.. but Team Soup took 2nd in 2WD Box Stock and Digger class, and pulled off the win in Garden Tractor.

Thanks for putting on such a fun event! Video coming later.
