Aluminum Original RC10 Stealth Transmission Case!

We just got this press release from our friends at Rogue Element Components. The timing on it is weird considering what I just received in the mail (you’ll see it soon).

I said I’d be getting a tad more ambitious, so here is the newest piece:  The Tranny Case for the 2.25 Stealth RC10!  Looking for a ‘new’ vintage car to start Aluminizing, and I think it’ll be the early RC10’s.  Hopefully this will be Part 1 in a progression of bits to build a vintage ride with some truly low-number & desirable components, eventually resulting in most of the car  (You should see the wheels I’m drawing up, Purty Fancy!)

Comes With Spacers, Alloy Screws, and Threaded Plug for non-drive top shaft hole
(Bearings and gears Not Included)

This thing took more work than any part to date.  I looked up all the Alloy trannys done since the RC10 came out, and truly believe this dusts ’em ALL.  I tried to make these nice enough that even if you have an Alloy tranny, you’ll Ebay it away & pick up on of these to avoid embarrassment and ridicule from your peers. The main level is cut with a 1.5 mm. mill, so the toolmarks, while glass smooth & easy to buff out if you like, look Great-It added machine time but adds a nice pattern.  All edges beveled 45 degrees.  Bearing fit and gear mesh Perfect.  There are a lot of CNC’d bits out these days, but this is truly a sweet thing to behold, pardon my sayin’ so!  The spacers are included but not shown, and the way I made these they take a 1/8″ shorter screw, which I shall also include (Alloy of course.)  This is a prototype, so as usual any little imperfections will be fixed: Production units will be much nicer.  (I may get rid of the center rib, or not, but they will look pretty much the same.)

NOTES & SPECS: Bearings, gears, etc. not included (Obvious, but if I don’t state it some kid will threaten to sue me.)  Alloy is 6061-T6.  All threads roll-formed, not cut, for strength.  Smells like Aluminum.
