Project Snowmo-Slash : Traxxas Slash with Skis and Paddles

The truck has Pro-Line Split Six beadlock wheels, which make swapping tires super convenient. Having these on the truck means I do not have to glue up the paddle tires to a fresh set of wheels. This effectively saves me $10 and when winter is over I can throw these Pro-Line Bow-Tie SC tires right back on it.

First I took all 4 tires/wheels off to be able to work on the truck easier.

Next we take the rears and remove the outer bead lock ring.

It’s only 6 screws and they are easy to take out.

The wheel then comes out of the tire and we can set the tire aside.

Time to add the Sling Shot tires.

Here are some comparison shots of the tire next to the Bow-Tie SC tires. As you can see they look maybe a touch narrower and are a little taller. The height worried me, as they still need to clear the fender wells in the body. Luckily they are still low profile enough that we didn’t have much issue here.

Now we have both Sling Shots mounted up. These are a cool looking tire, no doubt about it.
