THE 2015 SEASON IS SET TO TAKE OFF THIS SUNDAY AT ATTITUDE RC RACEWAY!!

The snow has melted, the frost is out of the ground, track work days and practice day is in the books, racers are finishing up their rides, and it is almost time to kick off the 2015 season at Attitude Rc Raceway this Sunday, May 3rd for our RC Soup Spring Fling!!!

We have a lot of things planned this summer with a few new classes and events to through into our 11 scheduled events. New this year and is scheduled to run this Sunday for our season opener is the Figure 8 Class. For 2015 we are using the Sportsman 2wd SCT Class rules. We have seen a few cars built for this new class and look great using the Parma SCT Car bodies that put a great new look to this new Figure 8 class! This class will run a 3 race series on May 3rd, July 5th, and October 3rd, with a rain date scheduled for October 4th to make sure we get the 3 races in. It will be $2 to register in for this class on raceday and will go towards top 3 awards at the end of the 3 race series. Shark Motorsports has also decided to sponsor this class so each race day racers will be competing for top 3 prize cash in the A-Main!

By popular demand, another class that was added to a partial schedule in 2015 is the 1/10th Sprint Car Class! We are exctied to bring the “Winged Warriors” to the progressive banked dirt oval! The Sprint cars will start their season off on May 17th!

All the other classes will remain the same and we expect some great racing action all summer long once again in the, Amatuer Class, Sportsman 2wd SCT’s, Street Stocks, SC Late Models, Open 4wd SCT’s, and the ever so popular and biggest class at Attitude Rc Raceway, the SC Modifieds!

In 2014 we added the new Amatuer Class which was a huge success which brought new faces into the hobby of rc racing and we are glad to bring this class back in 2015! Kooper Raley lead this class all season in 2015 and like all the other young racers, showed improvement all year. We look forward to bringing more new faces into the hobby in 2015!

In 2014 the point battle came down to the last race of the season in the Sportsman 2wd SCT class with Dale Marshal and Zach Tratar. Once the dust settled for 2014 Dale and Zach ended up tieing in the points battle but the Championship was awarded to Zach because he had more A-main wins ovr Dale. This year those two racers are moving out of the Sportsman class so we are looking at a new Champion for 2015! With the new brushed motor rule for this class in 2015, we are looking for some close racing action!

Last year the Street Stocks showcased many different racers showing they had what it takes to be a front runner in our 2wd buggy chassis based class. Early in the year, the Schulz brothers showed they had what it takes to run up front. Zach Tratar came in mid season to take on Tony Kufalk, Aaron Streblow, and Chad Gean giving them a run for their money! In 2015 this class will be growing with some new racers coming in to give this class a try!

The body rules opened up in 2014 for our “Too Tough to Tame” Open 4×4 SCT class to allow any full fendered bodies, which gave away to most of the racers running the SC Late Model bodies. This brought in some new faces to this class, and Paul Peterson would challenge class veteran Carl Fritts all season and bring home the 2014 Championship. Who has what it takes this year to handle these 4wd beasts and bring home the trophy? Could it be Paul Demler who showed great improvement throughout 2014, or may we see a new face on top the box?

Brian Laurent came in to his first full season at Attitude Rc Raceway in dominating fashon in the 2014 season in our two biggest classes, the Sc Late Models and Sc Modifieds winning both Championships! Each of these classes averaged at least 15 cars a week with the Sc Modifieds averaging close to 20 cars and week and we expect the same this year which should offer some great racing in both classes all summer long! Racers like Randy Yerke, Paul Perterson, Carl Fritts and Dana Zenil were not far off in 2014 so we will see if anyone has what it takes to challenge Luxemburg’s Brian Laurent in 2015.

We are excited to get 2015 underway this Sunday, with 75 lap A-Mains in all classes and a 5 min A-main for the Amatuer Class!

We would like to Thank all of our great Sponsors for the RC Soup Spring Fling! Special thanks goes out to: RC SOUP, B-FAST, PARMA, RPM, PROGRESSIVE RC, SPYDER RC, TRB RC, LB1 RC BODIES, SERVO CITY, RRP, and SHARK MOTORSPORTS!

Pits open at 8am, practice at 8:30am, registration ends at 10am with racing starting at 10:30am sharp! The weather is supposed to be great with temps in the 70’s, so bring the family and come on out and enjoy some awesome dirt oval racing!!
