We went back to Stay Hard Graphix for this one, after the stellar job they did on the Project Puller body. I LOVE the old school racing stripes, and white flames!
The body on the Clodbuster is made of ABS plastic, so unlike other RC bodies it must be painted from the outside. This also means that any crashes will scrape off some paint. I’ll go easy on her for the review, I promise. Travis; have some touch up paint on standby, just in case 😉
OK. Let’s put the chrome on the body to really finish it off.
This is the supercharger that is sticking out of the hood of this 1500 horsepower Monster Truck!
It is held on by a single screw from the underside of the hood.
Next up is the roll bars.
There are a couple of pieces to it, held together by these clamps. The clamps are slotted to fit around the skinnier sections of the roll bars.
They get mounted in the bed of the truck
They are held in place via screws through the bed of the truck.
These white light covers almost look like old school PIAA lights so I left them like that.
The rear bumper gets mounted to the tailgate.
The windows are actually all one piece, and get mounted to the underside of the cab with a couple of screws.
I like the tinted window effect. Really makes the flames stand out
The rear bumper/tailgate assembly gets screwed to the bed of the truck
Here is the back of the front grille. It looks like you could put some LEDs in this, really make it more realistic. Sounds like a good project for whoever wins this truck.
The grill features headlight buckets with realistic looking lenses for the headlights
Three small screws hold the grill to the front valance. This is the piece that goes behind the bumper.
There are tiny hex shaped holes in the back of the grill. We throw in a couple of nuts for the screws to fasten to.
Here we fit it to the front of the body.
The whole assembly is held to the truck with screws through the bracket
As well as tiny screws through the front fenders.
There she is, all shined up ready to be put on the chassis
Go to the next page if you’re like me and you can’t wait to see the finished product!!
