Xtreme LCG chassis for the ECX Torment – Install

Here she is, ready to hit the dirt with her new lower center of gravity

I remounted the stock tires to the truck

You can see how low the chassis sits now. Much much better

Driving Impressions

I took this truck for some test laps in the street in front of my house. While it is still in need of a lot of work to make it race ready, this Xtreme Racing chassis extension is most definitely a step in the right direction. I tried and tried to traction roll this truck, getting up to full speed then whipping it to one side or the other. The truck never once rolled over. There is still quite a bit of body roll, which could be tuned out with some shock oil adjustment. In my opinion, with some fine tuning, this truck could be competitive in the Sportsman ranks.

How much did the entire LCG upgrade cost, what tools did you use, and do you recommend this truck to a beginner?

For tools it was mostly a phillis head screwdriver. Total cost for all of the pieces is less than $100. This is definitely a good beginner truck, in fact I bought one for my daughter.
