Axial SCX10 Honcho Kit Build

On to Bag B. The first part in this bag will be the driveshafts.

The drive shafts themselves are plastic, but the yokes are metal.

First, we’ll slide one end of the metal pin on the yoke into the end of the driveshaft

This next part gave me some trouble at first. You have to put an extreme amount of pressure on the driveshaft to spread the plastic enough to get the other side of the metal pin into the hole. But, everything went together, and it feels like a very strong connection. I used a flat head screwdriver to apply side pressure to the yoke, until I could slide it in.

Next, we attach the drive shafts to the axles. There is a small grub screw to hold it on. Use some blue thread locker to make sure it doesn’t back out on its own. We used the kit supplied thread locker here.
