ABC Hobby USA Genetic Build – 4wd 1/10 “Mini” chassis

Next is the servo saver. It already comes with the ball stud secured to it. It has 3 optional inserts for various splined servos.

Servo mounts.

Here’s the Hitec servo that was donated. It’s the HS-625MG. It’s one of the cheaper servos they offer, but it is metal geared and should be plenty strong for these little tires.

Servo unboxed.

Servo saver adapter installed.

The servo saver just slides over the hex of the adapter.

Servo ready to be installed.

ABC includes a pinion gear.

Servo installation begins. Notice the plastic steering link. It simply pops on over the steering linkage and the servo saver.

The servo saver is huge, and requires a chassis cutout to prevent it from rubbing.

Side shot to prove the cutout is required.

Servo is now successfully installed and ready to steer this beast into the winners circle.
