Special Event Announcement : The Chase, Axial EXO race to be part of CNY Winter Bash this weekend

Bloop Bloop! The cops will be in the house at the CNY Winter Bash. And by cops, I’m talking about the RC Soup Desert Patrol Police EXO from Axial that is part of our Children’s Miracle Network Benefit. We are inviting racers who will be at the CNY Winter Bash to come out and bring their Axial EXO’s to compete in a single 5 minute race occurring during the CNY Winter Bash, this Saturday at High Octane RC in Syracuse, NY.

It is free to enter this class if you are racing any other class. If you would like to come out just for this portion of the event, something can be arranged if you talk to race staff.

The event is called “The Chase”. Our “Novak Powered” Police EXO will be out on the track attempting to thwart speeders from breaking the law. It has full LED lights & Police controller provided by RC-Lights.com in the stock LED locations, as well as a HobbyPartz.com Light Bar on the roof. If you can’t see this thing coming, I suggest you get your eyes checked.

The idea:

The race will begin like any other, with a starting grid. There will be no qualifying. Feel free to practice before racing begins though. The grid will be stacked at random. Our EXO is not competing for a position on the track. We will give the field a head start (time to be determined, i.e. 20 seconds). Once that time is up, our EXO will be in Hot Pursuit mode with all lights flashing.

Here’s the tricky part. If our EXO catches another EXO on the track, and passes them (even if it is not for position (i.e. you are a lap ahead)), that EXO is to pull over to the outside of the lane for a minimum of 5 seconds. If that EXO then catches the Police EXO and passes us, then they keep going. Your best bet is to stay in the lead, and away from the Police EXO. There is sure to be some mayhem on the track, just like a real Police chase.

In essence, it is a race between all other EXO’s except the Police one. We aren’t competing, merely interfering.

The event is officially being endorsed and sponsored by Axial, with prizes for the Top 3 placements, as well as an award from us (plaque type).

We will be covering the event with video and camera footage as well.

The rules are simple.

  • Must be an Axial EXO.
  • Any motor/ESC (timing allowed)
  • Any tire, we’d prefer stock, but we aren’t going to force it on anyone.
  • 2s Lipo

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me personally at info@rcsoup.com. If anything needs to be clarified, we will do so.

For those who missed it, RC Soup is helping in the planning and promotion of a large race this coming weekend. It is a combined effort of a couple hobby shops, a select few individuals and businesses, and RC Soup. This race is the CNY (Central New York) Winter Bash. It will be held at High Octane RC in Syracuse, NY.

Here is the link for the original announcement (you can also register to race at this link).

Below is the newest version of the flyer with all of the amazing sponsors. We have a TON of door prizes to give away. Some awesome products. We have entries already registered from as far as CT, so competition should be great. Hope to see you there!
