Next up, the center transmission.. the heart of the truck. Here you can see the planetary gears, spur and ball bearings.

We start off by assembling the main planetary gear. First we install the shafts that the gears spin on.

Then we install the gears with their bearings.

Here’s the completed unit.

Next we install that unit into the outer gear and install the main transmission output shaft. This goes through the back of the outer gear and a yoke attaches to it.

Here we have the included 27 turn Mabuchi stock motor with pinion gear.

Then we install the spur gear into the planetary gear and over the output shaft.

Then we loosely attach the motor to the motor mount and install it into the center transmission assembly.

Now we visually adjust the gear mesh and tighten down the motor.

Here is the completed center transmission with outdrive yokes and half shafts installed.
