Tamiya CR-01 Land Cruiser Build Up

The CR01 Land Cruiser 40 by Tamiya is an engineered Crawler. It’s designed to tackle the rocks and trails like no other truck in their lineup. It has solid axles with locked (or unlocked if you so choose) differentials and plenty of ground clearance, it should tackle most obstacles you might want to throw in front of it. This should be a very exciting build up.

As you can see in the photo below, Tamiya takes pride in it’s packaging. It puts the Associated SC104x4’s packaging to shame (where they kind of just throw everything in the box). Here you can see stuff is compartmentalized, nothing is going to shift and damage the body, etc. Very nice.

Once you tear into the box and get all the parts bags out, you get a pile kinda like this.

For a build like this, a COW R/C work mat is invaluable. It came in very handy for sorting screws and keep stuff from rolling off your table.

Awesome build, so detailed I could follow it instead of the instructions!;) I love these trucks and can’t wait to see how it turns out.
