Project Puller: Converting a RJ Speed Digger

The first part of our conversion for the front tires will require using bearings. Thanks to Brian Davin for the info on these. We used FastEddy Bearings for this, as they are a great source for quality bearings on the cheap. The size you need is 1/8×5/16×9/64 (FLANGED) Metal Shielded Bearings. Find them HERE.

For tires/wheels we are using Losi premounted Street Meats for the Mini Slider (LOSB1173). They will look MUCH better on the Digger than the stock foam tires.

Following the kingpin debacle from Project Overkill, we’re still using the Legends kingpins which are really long. We had to remove our AJS Machine brace due to clearance issues. We’ll look into modding that to fit later down the road. We also had to shim the inner bearing out for clearance.

Here she is with all the new tires bolted up. Starting to look like a puller!

So where are you guys attaching the sled to the diggers? I pull and think this would be an awesome cheap class to start. I have prob 4 of these chassis already. Thanks

We just use the wheelie bar. I still need to cut out the spot in the body for access though.

Are there other wheels and tires there using like a tlt wheel and tire? Sorry for all the questions but I think this would be a good class to add to ours . Just doing some homework before I suggest us adding this class.
