Tamiya XV-01 Pro Chassis Build Up w/ Impreza WRX STI body

Now we secure the rear transmission to the chassis and work on installing the rear hubs and CVD’s to the rear arms.

Just like the front, the rear outer hinge pins are secured with a screw.

We then install the rear camber links and have a completed rear suspension (minus shocks).

Belt cover assembly time. We won’t want dirt and debris flying into the belt now do we. This is the first part of the belt cover.

It installs at the rear gearbox.

This is the next part of the dust cover. Per the instructions we remove a chunk of one side, so that it will install correctly.

This is the final piece. It’s flexible plastic. I just marked it and snipped it with a pair of lexan scissors.

Here is the main belt dust cover. This goes on next and mounts thru the battery compartment from underneath.

Fully installed.

Now we slip that other piece that we cut up a second ago over the 2 previously installed pieces.

And now we have a mostly sealed drivetrain. The front pulley doesnt get a cover on it.

Drivetrain complete! Next we’ll add the shocks. First we have to build them.

Hi, nice build. I just did mine but located the ESC at the rear instead as there is more room under the cover there, had no problem fitting the mamba Max in there. This also gives more room for the wires exiting the cover.
