Road to Vintage Nats: Associated RC10 Reboot

Now it’s time to really mount the body.

Yes, before you ask.. the Savox servo box does make a nice car stand.

This thing looks dialed. I hope all you reading this love it as much as I do.

Now for the wing. This is the original wing I had, it’s cracked.. I actually just ordered a new one from TeamBlueGroove on ebay, but I figured I would see how this looked for now. I cleaned up the wire and installed the buttons.

I popped it on the body. Not sure how I feel about it. I think the new one will look a little better.

Now with the tires on… Final assembly is done. All I have left to do is install my receiver and bind it up. Let me know what you guys think of the build. It’s been a long and drawn out one for sure.

The body off shots to finish out the build article. Some close ups as well.

So with the build in the books, I have a few odds and ends to finish on it, but this is it for the most part. I cannot wait to run this at the Vintage Offroad Nationals in a couple short weeks. It should be a really fun time, and I hope some of you reading are inspired to restore/refresh your own vintage rigs and make it out to one of these events. Stay tuned for one or two more vintage builds, as well as our coverage from the event in the coming weeks.

Nice build up! Good luck at VNats. Gotta say that its kinda like sacrilege to see K shocks on an old AE!
