Caster Racing EX1.5R Buggy – Build

On to Bag G. In this bag we will assemble the rear suspension. I’m starting to run out of bags

First up…Shock Tower

This bracket will be the upper mount for the rear chassis brace. You can also see in this picture the rear body mount.

Before we mount the rear arms, they had a plastic brace in the opening. Once we took it out we had to cut out the plastic nubs it left behind

The rear arms get the same treatment as the front lower arms. There is a hinge pin that rides on a plastic bushing. The bushing is adjustable in that the hole is off center. You flip it over to adjust your anti squat. The rear arms also feature captured hinge pins, no E Clips here. (phew)

Here’s where we are to this point on the rear suspension

The rear sway bar goes together much the same as the front. These braces shouldn’t be overtightened. You want the bar to move freely.
