Bag K will take us through the final steps of chassis assembly

Front chassis brace. One of the upgrades on the Pro kit is an aluminum brace instead of plastic

And the rear brace

Also in this bag is the linkage to go from the steering plate to the front hubs

The book wants you to have the steering end links turn towards the back of the car. This is so it will avoid rubbing the wheel. However I ran into a problem where on a full turn right, the linkage hit the front sway bar. So, I turned the end links the opposite way, and I’ll remove a little bit of steering to avoid rubbing the wheel.

Time to mount the servo horn and steering linkage

The servo gets mounted to a plate

There is an enclosed receiver box with the EX1.5R. My Spektrum SR3000 was a TIGHT fit.

The receiver box gets screwed to the servo plate

There are stands for the servo/radio tray. The Front

The rear

The whole assembly gets mounted to the chassis from underneath

There is a similar peg for mounting the rear of the ESC tray. This will prevent excess vibration

Here I dry fit the battery trays.

We’ll throw two screws in each for now, but we’ll come back to these later
